I’m Joe Stemple, a self-taught woodworker with more than 30 years of experience making furniture and other objects in wood. What began as a hobby grew into a serious pursuit, including years of online sales, craft shows, and gallery consignment, and has now shifted toward making work that interests and challenges me. This site brings together work I have made over the years and reflects the direction my woodworking is taking now.

What keeps me woodworking is the challenge of developing an idea into a finished piece, whether I begin with a concept of my own or build upon an existing design. I enjoy refining proportions, details, and materials until a piece feels right. My aim is to keep stretching my skills, developing more original work, and creating furniture and objects with beauty, character, and lasting value.

Woodworking has also given me opportunities to support causes I care about. Over the years, I have donated proceeds from sales to local charities, including wildlife and animal-rescue organizations, and contributed pieces to silent auctions benefiting nonprofit arts and crafts groups. I hope to continue finding practical ways for my work to help others.
